  • O’Shaughnessy’s

    The Journal of Cannabis in Clinical Practice founded by Tod Mikuriya, MD and Fred Gardner. Dr. Mikuriya envisioned a journal where cannabis-friendly clinicians could share findings and observations and be kept up-to-date on relevant scientific, political and legal developments. The O’Shaughnessy’s webite provides an ongoing history of the medical marijuana movement.

  • Healer

    Healer was created by Dr. Dustin Sulak with the goal of providing a trusted source of cannabis information and a respected authority on its use. Their programs provide the essential basics of dosage and delivery methods to help you develop healthy new patterns in your life. Dr. Sulak also designed the Healer Certification Program, an online training that includes evidence-based curriculum and condition-specific dosage guidelines. The program was designed for industry professionals, healthcare providers, and consumers.   • Project CBD

    Project CBD is a non-profit educational service dedicated to promoting research into the medical utility of cannabidiol (CBD) and other components of the cannabis plant. It is intended to update providers and patients about developments in cannabinoid science, publicize research, and emphasizes whole plant cannabis therapeutics (not just THC or CBD).

  • United Patients Group

    United Patients Group is a trusted leader of medical cannabis for physicians, patients, and organizations. UPG acts as a virtual hand for patients and offers CME education to physicians and medical institutions. UPG believes that education is paramount in understanding potential treatment with medical cannabis and acts as a conduit between the cannabis industry and medical institutions worldwide.

  • ProCon.org

    Procon is a nonprofit public charity that provides resources for critical thinking to educate without bias. Cannabis is one of many issues discussed on their website.

  • Patients Out of Time

    POT provides information on cannabis to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers. They highlight clinical conferences, information about the therapeutic basis of cannabis, and indications for its use.

  • The American Alliance for Medical Cannabis

    The AAMC provides information to patients and caregivers so they can make informed decisions about whether cannabis is the right medicine for them. The website also focuses on local medical cannabis laws, political activism, recipes, and guides to growing your own medicine.

  • Americans for Safe Access

    ASA provides training and resources for activists. Their site includes legal resources for each state, and information on talking to the media, testifying, lobbying, movement building, and more. They also offer condition-based booklets and state legal manuals.

  • ASA’s Patient Focused Certification Program

    Entities that display the Patient Focused Certification seal have met the high quality standards for medical cannabis products and businesses issued by the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) and the American Herbal Pharmacopeia (AHP). This includes dispensaries, laboratories, and product manufacturers. Learn more about their requirements and participating groups.

  • Marijuana Policy Project

    MPP’s mission is to increase support for non-punitive cannabis policies and support those working for these changes. They work to change state laws to eliminate penalties for cannabis and gain influence in Congress.

  • NORML

    NORML provides information about the personal, medical, and industrial use of cannabis. They also report on testing, health endorsements, legal issues, and research. State NORML chapters provide varying levels of education, primarily regarding legal issues.
