GET INVOLVED WITH THE SCC
The Society of Cannabis Clinicians is a nonprofit educational and scientific society of healthcare professionals and allies dedicated to advancing research and disseminating knowledge about medical cannabis. The SCC is pleased to announce that we are raising funds and seeking sponsorship for the development of future education programs and the advancement of our new Medical Cannabis Clinical Training Curriculum. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we greatly rely upon donations from our valued supporters to further spread our mission and continue our work. The availability of this new curriculum will enable clinicians to provide the best possible treatment to their patients, while bridging the education gap between healthcare providers and the respected communities they serve.
The SCC’s new training courses will offer critical information missing from most health professional training schools and in continuing clinical education programs. Our training course modules integrate the latest cannabis research and decades of combined clinical knowledge from world-renowned experts and thought leaders in medical cannabis. As of today, we have developed over 24 hours of content with expert authors exploring the underlying mechanisms of the endocannabinoid system, basics of laboratory analysis, and therapeutic implications for a wide range of conditions. With members and supporters across the globe, the SCC’s new clinical course curriculum will make knowledge about this ancient plant accessible to all.
In addition to the SCC’s new course curriculum, our organization is pleased to offer our scholarship award program to underserved medical students with an interest in obtaining clinical education on the use of medicinal cannabis. Each month, the SCC awards several students with the Society of Cannabis Clinicians Scholarship Award so that they too may have access to the latest and most-up-to-date medical cannabis education and clinical research.
For the past 22 years, the Society of Cannabis Clinicians has dedicated its mission towards bridging the education gap and empowering healthcare professionals through education, research, and advocacy. Our organization was built on the premise of sharing clinical evidence with colleagues and patients, developing and promoting best practice standards, defending and expanding physicians’ rights, and removing impediments to clinical research, while encouraging medical students and healthcare professionals to discuss cannabis as a treatment option with their patients. With your help, the SCC has not only made a significant impact on healthcare professionals and patients worldwide, but has also avidly worked to address the social injustices and health disparities prevalent within the medical cannabis industry.
Thanks to your support, the SCC is able to provide education and advocacy on the use of medical cannabis while creating a voice for the patients that we serve.
Please consider contributing a tax-deductible donation to the Society of Cannabis Clinicians today! As always, kindly invite you to reach out to us with any questions or feedback that you may have.
