Presentations will focus on a variety of articles and perspectives related to cannabis medicine, including but not limited to clinically-relevant articles and research methodology-focused papers.
This month’s installment will hear Dr. Ana Hounie discuss her recently published case study, Neurological Improvement with Medical Cannabis in a Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Patient: A Case Report.
Ana Hounie, MD, PhD

Dr. Ana Hounie has a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1994) and a PhD in Sciences, in the area of Psychiatry, from the University of São Paulo-FMUSP (2003). She completed her postdoctoral studies at the USP Faculty of Medicine. She works mainly in the care and research of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Tourette Syndrome, having published a book on the latter syndrome, in which she is one of the main experts in Brazil. She is currently dedicated to the study of medicinal cannabis, with which she has clinical experience since 2016, conducting courses and lectures on the topic.
