Addie Ron, MD is an Israeli physician certified in Geriatrics and Family Medicine. He holds a Master’s degree in Gerontology from Haifa University and completed a Geriatrics fellowship program at Boston University Medical Center. Doctor Ron is a practicing clinician for the last 20 years working at Maccabi Health Services, the second largest HMO in Israel. In 2017 he entered the cannabis field as well by joining Niamedic as the Medical Director. NiaMedic is a medical data company offering healthcare, research & consultation services in the cannabis field. As a Geriatrician Doctor Ron focused on treating older adults with Medical Cannabis while collecting data and following hundreds of patients. He recently published with his colleagues a summary article: Medical Cannabis for Older Patients Treatment Protocol and Initial Results (J Clin Med 2019 Nov 1; 8(11):1819.). Doctor Ron continues his practice and research in treating older adults with medical cannabis and is now cooperating with Tikun Olam on summarizing the effect of medical cannabis in reducing polypharmacy.
